Exercise 1: Running WW3 with a mesh for Hawaii

While running this test case, there was an error in ww3_bound.inp, (the interpolation information was repeated twice). The file should look like:

On caparmor, in order to use ww3_ounf for creating NetCDF 4 files (NetCDF 3 is OK) , you must do first :

 module purge 

Be careful and delete all the previous ww3_200801*.nc before, otherwise it will append to the existing files.



And then you can download the files *.nc on your local computer, to open them with IDL (ncview doesn't like unstructured netcdf files) :

If you have the IDL tools in ~/TOOLS/IDL:

cd ~/TOOLS/IDL
idl -rt=rt_visumain.sav 

If you have an IDL licence you can do instead (in the same directory)

 idl
 @visu
